Basketball Recap: Ella Reyes Key Part of a Team Effort in Bulldogs Win

Westerly's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Fitch Falcons by a score of 53-46. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 38-28 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2022.

Westerly got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ella Reyes out in front who posted 18 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. The game was Reyes' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Juliana Voisnet, who had 15 points and six boards.

Westerly is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for Fitch, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Westerly has already played their next matchup, a 54-27 win against South Kingstown on the 10th. As for Fitch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 33-27 victory against Woodstock Academy on the 11th.
