Softball Recap: West Anchorage Eagles vs. Chugiak Mustangs

West Anchorage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 18-1 to the Chugiak Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to West Anchorage of the 15-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

West Anchorage saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Byrd, who went 1-for-2 with an RBI.

On Chugiak's side, Allison Craig was a standout: she went 3-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelby Strange, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
