Baseball Recap: Wisdom Comes Up Short

Wisdom lost against Fort Kent back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pioneers fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 9-8.

Joel Desjardins made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Picard, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Wisdom's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Fort Kent, the win also got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Wisdom will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Fort Fairfield at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Pioneers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fort Kent, they are taking a road trip to take on Southern Aroostook at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Southern Aroostook will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
