Bunker Hill and Foard are an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Bunker Hill and five for Foard.

Bunker Hill managed to slip by Newton-Conover the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bears were beaten by the Red Devils 49-22 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Red Devils are ranked 103rd).

Meanwhile, Foard played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against East Lincoln, falling 42-7. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-0.

Foard's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Bunker Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything went Bunker Hill's way against Foard in their previous meeting back in March of 2021, as Bunker Hill made off with a 32-7 win. In that contest, the Bears amassed a halftime lead of 20-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
