Millington Central scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Bolton 81-50 at home. The result was nothing new for Millington Central, who have now won four matches by 22 points or more so far this season.
Millington Central relied on the efforts of Kyla Taylor, who scored 22 points, and Alana Whiten, who scored 24 points. That's the first time this season that Taylor scored 15 or more points. Arianna Whiten was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Jackson Central Merry really took it to Jackson North Side for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-31 win at home. Given Jackson Central Merry's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while Jackson North Side is ranked 373rd), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Millington Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Jackson Central Merry, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
