Basketball Game Preview: Cornerstone Eagles vs. Shades Valley Mounties

The Cornerstone Eagles and the Shades Valley Mounties will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Cornerstone's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Shades Valley has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Last Tuesday, Cornerstone had to suffer through a 63-30 loss at the hands of Sylacauga.

Meanwhile, Shades Valley suffered their closest loss since December 18, 2023 on Friday. They fell just short of Huffman by a score of 45-42.

Cornerstone's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Shades Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Cornerstone was taken down by Shades Valley 57-23 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Cornerstone was down 36-8.
