Volleyball Game Preview: Downey Vikings vs. Woodrow Wilson Bruins

The Downey Vikings are taking a road trip to face off against the Woodrow Wilson Bruins at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Downey saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Yorba Linda.

Downey might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Yorba Linda: every set was decided by exactly two points. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Woodrow Wilson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to Long Beach Poly.

Downey came up short against Woodrow Wilson in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, falling 2-0. Can Downey avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
