Basketball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Macon County's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

Macon County won the last time they faced Marion County, and Joshua Fulks did his part to make sure it happened again. The Macon County Bulldogs took their game on Saturday with ease, bagging a 71-44 victory over the Marion County Eagles thanks in part to Fulks, who went 8 of 14 en route to 21 points and six rebounds. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Lavoris Smith was another key player, putting up eight points along with nine boards and eight assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in assists.

Macon County is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for Marion County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.
