After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mater Dei Catholic, Helix was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They never let the Mount Miguel Matadors get on the board and left with a 19-0 win. The Highlanders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Katelyn Woodland tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Helix let Lauren Farace and LaNiah Broom run wild. Farace went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Broom went 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits Broom has posted since back in February. Marley Johnson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
