Baseball Recap: Rowan County's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Rowan County had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Nicholas County on Thursday. Rowan County was the clear victor by a 14-2 margin over Nicholas County. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 12 runs or more this season.

Abram Norden made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He also put up a triple, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ben Dehart, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aaron Pennington, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
