Soccer Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

After flying high against International Leadership of Texas Garland last Friday, Heritage came back down to earth. The Heritage Coyotes fell just short of the Emerson Mavericks by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Coyotes couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Ethan Ortiz, which was the first he's scored this season.

Heritage now has a losing record at 2-3-1. As for Emerson, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Heritage wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Independence on the 24th. Emerson has also already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Frisco on the 24th.
