Zanodiya Mcnair leads Pinecrest to victory over Hoke County

There's no place like home for the Pinecrest Patriots, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 64-53 victory over Hoke County on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Pinecrest, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Zanodiya Mcnair was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Ava Depenbrock, who scored 13 points.

Pinecrest pushed their record up to 5-10 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Hoke County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pinecrest will challenge Union Pines at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Union Pines has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Hoke County, they will head out on the road to square off against Scotland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
