Baseball Recap: Lathrop Comes Up Short

Lathrop came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-1 to the Trenton Bulldogs. The contest marked the Mules' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Lathrop's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Trenton, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Lathrop will square off against Lexington at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Lexington has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.4 runs per game on average), something Lathrop will no doubt try to take advantage of. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up.
