Baseball Recap: Thousand Oaks Victorious

Thousand Oaks's tournament run continued when they took on Castaic on Wednesday. The Thousand Oaks Lancers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Castaic Coyotes, sneaking past 6-4.

Luc Forkin looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Thousand Oaks' victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Magruder, who scored a run while going 2-for-5. Magruder also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another was James Luderer, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Thousand Oaks now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Castaic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Thousand Oaks has already played their next game, a 7-5 win against St. Bonaventure on the 1st. As for Castaic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-3 victory against Taft on the 3rd.
