Baseball Recap: Laporte Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Laporte and Walker-Hackensack-Akeley had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Wildcats lost 15-1 to the Wolves on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-2 two weeks ago.

Laporte's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Walker-Hackensack-Akeley, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Laporte will face off against rival Blackduck at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Walker-Hackensack-Akeley is set to challenge their familiar foe Red Lake at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
