It was a good run, but Monett unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Logan-Rogersville Wildcats by a score of 2-1. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Monett couldn't quite close it out.

Monett's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 11-3. As for Logan-Rogersville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Monett will take on rival Springfield Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Logan-Rogersville is set to face off against their familiar foe Bolivar at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
