Football Recap: Bridger Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Bridger had lost four straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-4 to make it five. They had to suffer through a 68-6 loss at the hands of the Shields Valley Rebels. The Scouts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rebels apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Shields Valley's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Shields Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Robbie Anderson led the charge by rushing for 152 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries. Those 152 rushing yards gave Anderson a new career-high. Dawson Matzinger was in the mix too, providing Shields Valley with three TDs.

Looking ahead, Bridger will venture away from home to challenge North Toole County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Shields Valley, they will host Reed Point/Rapelje at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
