Basketball Recap: Highline Pirates vs. Evergreen Wolverines
Highline lost to Evergreen back in February, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. Everything went the Highline Pirates' way against the Evergreen Wolverines as the Highline Pirates made off with a 65-41 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-19.
Corey Crosby had an outrageously good game as he dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jai'Lyn Chavers, who went 6 for 8 en route to 14 points plus six rebounds.
The victory made it two in a row for Highline and bumps their season record up to 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highline will head out to face off against Port Angeles at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Evergreen, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they square off against Foster at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
