Basketball Game Preview: South Pemiscot Bulldogs vs. Holcomb Hornets

The South Pemiscot Bulldogs will take on the Holcomb Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

South Pemiscot is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Charleston 69-42 on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulldogs who have now won three games in a row.

Meanwhile, Holcomb didn't have too much breathing room in their match against New Madrid County Central on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 55-51 win.

South Pemiscot's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.5 points. As for Holcomb, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8.

South Pemiscot beat Holcomb 47-40 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Does South Pemiscot have another victory up their sleeve, or will Holcomb turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
