Recap: Los Molinos Bulldogs vs. Biggs Wolverines

If the Los Molinos Bulldogs were riding high off their 58-38 takedown of the CORE Butte Lynx last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Los Molinos ended up on the wrong side of a rough 80-55 walloping at the hands of Biggs on Tuesday. Los Molinos was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-21.

Despite the loss, Los Molinos still got an impressive performance from Luke Cantonwine, who scored 23 points along with four steals. Cantonwine continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Josh Alcazar, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.

Los Molinos' loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Biggs, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Los Molinos will take on Hamilton at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Hamilton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Friday. As for Biggs, they will head out on the road to face off against Maxwell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Maxwell: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Biggs has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
