Recap: Snook Bluejays vs. Fayetteville Lions
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Brazos Christian, the Snook Bluejays were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Fayetteville by a score of 42-31. For Snook, this counts as revenge for the 41-30 loss Fayetteville walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Fayetteville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylie Dyer, who scored 16 points. Dyer scored a full 51.6% of Fayetteville's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kayme Schley, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Snook has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season. As for Fayetteville, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
Snook does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Fayetteville will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Non Varsity Opponent at 1:30 p.m. on December 29th.
