Basketball Recap: Manawa Takes a Loss

Manawa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 59-42 to the Weyauwega-Fremont Warhawks. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Manawa's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Weyauwega-Fremont, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Manawa will venture away from home to square off against Iola-Scandinavia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Weyauwega-Fremont, they will welcome Wittenberg-Birnamwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Wittenberg-Birnamwood's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches.
