Volleyball Recap: Monroe Takes a Loss

Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clinton Cougars. The Cheesemakers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-13.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clinton to victory, but perhaps none more so than London Winch, who had eight digs. Those eight digs gave Winch a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kiana Stahl, who had three digs and two aces.

Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Clinton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-15.

Monroe has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Beloit Memorial on the 11th. As for Clinton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Big Foot on the 11th.
