Lakeview Academy strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Pace Academy Knights by a score of 46-34.

Despite the loss, Pace Academy still got an impressive performance from Lawson Monroe, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 15 boards. Monroe has been hot, having posted nine or more rebounds the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Britton McGurn, who posted seven points and four steals.

Lakeview Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Pace Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Lakeview Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-43 defeat against Wheeler on the 24th. As for Pace Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Forest Park at 5:30 p.m. on the 2nd. The contest will give the Knights their first taste of in-conference action this season.
