Volleyball Recap: Corydon Central Comes Up Short

Corydon Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Christian Academy Warriors. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Warriors when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-21, 25-10.

Jordin McCarty paced Corydon Central's offense, picking up four kills. McCarty got some help from Khloe Kraft and her 12 assists.

Among those leading the charge was Carly Stevens, who had 11 digs and three assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last five matchups. Addison Jackson also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Corydon Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Corydon Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Springs Valley on the 4th. As for Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Clarksville on the 6th.
