Soccer Game Preview: East Wake Academy vs. Falls Lake

The East Wake Academy Eagles will head out to square off against the Falls Lake Firebirds at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. East Wake Academy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

East Wake Academy fell victim to NCSSM: Durham and their airtight defense on Thursday. They fell just short of the Unicorns by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Falls Lake kept a clean sheet against Research Triangle on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Raptors. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Falls Lake's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 188th, while Research Triangle are ranked 392nd).

The victory made it two in a row for Falls Lake and bumps their season record up to 9-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored six goals over those two matchups. As for East Wake Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6-1.
