Baseball Game Preview: Clinton Dark Horses vs. Red Springs Red Devils

The Clinton Dark Horses will head out to face off against the Red Springs Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clinton's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Red Springs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Clinton managed to slip by West Bladen the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Dark Horses lost 7-0 to the Knights on Friday.

Meanwhile, Red Springs didn't have quite enough to beat St. Pauls on Friday and fell 7-6.

Xzavier Sinclair made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Terry Locklear, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Red Springs, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-8.

Clinton skirted past Red Springs 6-5 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Do the Dark Horses have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
