Basketball Recap: Desert Christian Comes Up Short

Desert Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were dealt an 81-28 defeat at the hands of the Faith Baptist Contenders. Having soared to a lofty 57 points in the game before, the Knights couldn't push the score so high this time.

Despite the loss, Desert Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Joshua Nuzum posted 15 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aaden Dragoo, who put up five points and five rebounds.

Desert Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Faith Baptist, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Desert Christian will welcome St. Monica Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Faith Baptist, they will host Palmdale Academy Charter School at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
