Volleyball Recap: Two Rivers' Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

If Two Rivers was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Simley on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hill-Murray Pioneers on Thursday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Nevaeh Martin paced Two Rivers' offense, picking up 15 kills. Martin got some help from Freja Wenker and her 23 assists.

With the loss, Two Rivers broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 11-6-1. As for Hill-Murray, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Two Rivers has already played their next match (against Richfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hill-Murray, they will square off against Mahtomedi at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
