Regis had lost six straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 6-12 to make it seven. They fell just short of the Stanley-Boyd Orioles by a score of 11-10. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Orioles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-7 on Tuesday.

Ava Skwiercynski was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and ten unearned) runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Olivia Morning was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Justice Tait was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

As for Stanley-Boyd, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-4. 11 seems to be a good number for they as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

On Stanley-Boyd's side, Caitlen Ketterhagen tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over 5.1 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Stanley-Boyd got a big performance out of Bailey Sikora, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Sikora, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Regis will square off against McDonell Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Macks have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Stanley-Boyd, they will challenge Bloomer at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
