Volleyball Recap: Darlington Comes Up Short

Darlington's tournament run continued when they took on Turner on Saturday. The Redbirds fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-1. The Redbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Maddie Gratz paced Darlington's offense, picking up ten kills. Gratz got some help from Lilly Ritchie and her 11 assists. Ritchie was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Darlington's loss dropped their record down to 16-15. As for Turner, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-10.

Darlington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against North Crawford on the 18th. As for Turner, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Wisconsin Heights on the 18th.
