Floyd had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 26-1 walloping at the hands of the Logan Longhorns on Tuesday. The defeat means Floyd is still on the hunt for the season's first 'W'.
Floyd saw one different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jimmy Lovato, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
On Logan's side, Kaeden Stoner and Brock Burns made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Stoner struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned run off one hit (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Burns pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
