Baseball Recap: Floyd Broncos vs. Logan Longhorns        
        
		
            
 Floyd had to hit the road for their first game and  sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They wound up on the wrong side of a  rough 26-1 walloping at the hands of the Logan Longhorns on Tuesday. The  defeat means Floyd is still on the hunt for the season's first 'W'.
 Floyd saw one different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jimmy Lovato, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
 On Logan's side,  Kaeden Stoner and  Brock Burns made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Stoner   struck out six batters over  two innings while giving up   no  earned run off   one  hit (and only one walk). Meanwhile,  Burns   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. At the plate,  Stoner  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-4, while  Burns  scored four  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Diego Sanchez was a standout: he scored four  runs and  stole two bases while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was  Mason Wallin, who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with five  runs, three  RBI,  and a  triple.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Floyd will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Grady at 2:00  p.m.  on April 8th. As for Logan, they will head out on the road to  take on  Gateway Christian at 2:00  p.m.  on Friday.
