Softball Recap: Independence Victorious

Independence earned a 7-4 victory over the Loudoun County Captains on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Independence.

Kayden Pak spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Dely Keller was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Ross, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Independence's record is now 2-0. As for Loudoun County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Independence wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-7 loss against Woodgrove on the 27th. As for Loudoun County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-4 win against Freedom on the 21st.
