 Dallas Jesuit and Flower Mound squared off in some playoff action  on Thursday, but Dallas Jesuit had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Flower Mound Jaguars by a score of  3-1. It was the first time  this season that Dallas Jesuit let down their fans at home.
  Brayden Montes was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up  three earned runs off   five  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 Dallas Jesuit's defeat  ended  a  13-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 30-5. As for Flower Mound, the  win (which was their 21st in a row) raised their record to 33-3.
 While Dallas Jesuit had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
