Football Game Preview: Gray-New Gloucester vs. Dirigo

On Friday Dirigo take on Gray-New Gloucester at 7:00 PM. Dirigo is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight.

Dirigo had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They dodged a bullet last week, finishing off Old Town 15-14. The tight race was right in line with the MaxPreps state rankings' forecast.

Meanwhile, Gray-New Gloucester couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They suffered a grim 9-41 defeat to York.

Dirigo's win lifted them to 1-0 while Gray-New Gloucester's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Dirigo can add another positive mark to their record or if Gray-New Gloucester can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Dirigo's step.
