Softball Recap: River Falls Takes a Loss

River Falls fell victim to Eau Claire North and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 9-0 to the Huskies. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Huskies: they've now lost three in a row.

River Falls got a good showing from BRENNA CLIFTON, who tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. CLIFTON has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 4-4. As for Eau Claire North, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-6 record this season.

While River Falls had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
