Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Shadow Creek

While Shadow Creek put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Pearland. The Sharks walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Oilers. For the Sharks, this counts as revenge for the 12-2 win the Oilers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Kaz Sides tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over 6.2 innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Demari Faggins, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

The victory (which was Shadow Creek's fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Pearland, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-7.

Shadow Creek will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Oilers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
