Wilmer-Hutchins has gone a perfect 9-0 against Roosevelt recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Wilmer-Hutchins' offense hasn't had much luck over their past three games, but Friday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Thursday, Wilmer-Hutchins took a blow against North Dallas, falling 35-8.

JaQuavion Gaston put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 142 yards and one score on only ten carries, and also threw for 147 yards on ten of 28 attempts.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 42-14 loss at the hands of Lincoln. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Wilmer-Hutchins will have to contain Desricc Thomas as he made an impact in Roosevelt's last game. He picked up 79 receiving yards and one TD.

Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Wilmer-Hutchins, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Friday's game might be decided in the trenches. Wilmer-Hutchins has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 185.4 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Roosevelt, though, as they've been averaging only 53.4 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?

Wilmer-Hutchins won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, slipping by Roosevelt 7-6. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
