While Elberta didn't have the best season last year (they finished 14-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Westminster Christian Academy Wildcats 14-6 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Elberta and bumps their season record up to 8-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Elberta will be playing in front of their home fans against Williamson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be Elberta's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Priceville at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
