Football Recap: Arcadia Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Arcadia lost against Pasadena back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Apaches were beaten by the Bulldogs 49-14.

Several Apaches players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Long, who rushed for 162 yards on only 13 carries. Long's longest rush was for an impressive 63 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Arcadia also got help from Aiden Reyes, who showed off his sure hands for 184 receiving yards.

Pasadena's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dutch Burbidge led the charge by throwing for 359 yards and five TDs while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt. Burbidge has become a key player for the Bulldogs: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least 250 passing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Damari Pitts also helped out as he racked up 148 receiving yards.

Arcadia has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Pasadena, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Arcadia is set to challenge their familiar foe Crescenta Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Addison 'AJ' Pressnall and Xavier Thompson. Meanwhile, Pasadena will face off against rival Muir at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Burbidge and Trey Gamble.
