Baseball Game Preview: Hagerty Huskies vs. Winter Park Wildcats

For the second straight game, Hagerty will face off against Winter Park. The Huskies will challenge the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hagerty is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Hagerty is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Winter Park a 4-0 shutout. The Huskies have beaten the Wildcats the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wildcats has come to flipping the script.

M. Murray Jr. made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over six innings pitched. Murray Jr. was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

In other batting news, R. Foscolo was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March of 2024.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. However, it's not like Winter Park struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.3 strikeouts.
