Basketball Game Recap: North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers vs. Rutherford Rams

Rutherford came into Monday's contest looking for another win against North Bay Haven Academy, but Kaylee Goodpaster wouldn't allow it. The Buccaneers blew past the Rams 62-29 on Monday for which the team can thank Goodpaster, who dropped a triple-double with 21 points, 19 boards, and 11 assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of North Bay Haven Academy's points.

Another player making a difference was Ally Brady, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more boards the last three times she's played.

North Bay Haven Academy's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-4. As for Rutherford, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Bay Haven Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Walton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rutherford, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
