Volleyball Game Preview: El Camino Eagles vs. Dixon Rams

The El Camino Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Dixon Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Thursday, El Camino didn't have quite enough to beat Mesa Verde and fell 3-2. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

El Camino wouldn't go down easily and took Mesa Verde into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-16, 25-18, 18-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Dixon lost 3-0 to Natomas on Wednesday.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Natomas scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-23, 25-22.

Dixon has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. El Camino's loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Everything went El Camino's way against Dixon in their previous matchup on March 5th, as El Camino made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for El Camino since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
