Baseball Recap: Fenwick Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fenwick can now relate to. They fell just short of the Brother Rice Crusaders by a score of 5-4 on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Friars in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost seven in a row.

Fenwick got a good showing from Harrison Dragus, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Josh Morgan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Fenwick is 11-3 when Morgan posts two or more runs, but 8-13-1 otherwise. Ryan Lazewski was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

Fenwick's loss dropped their record down to 19-16-1. As for Brother Rice, their win was their 20th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 33-3.

As of now, neither Fenwick nor the Crusaders have any future games scheduled.
