Basketball Recap: Dwight Skates Past Newark with Ease

Dwight hadn't done well against Newark recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Dwight Trojans blew past the Newark Norsemen 55-26. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while the Norsemen are ranked 658th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dwight is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. As for Newark, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-20.

Dwight will square off against Henry-Senachwine at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Dwight is facing Henry-Senachwine at the right time seeing as Henry-Senachwine is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Newark, they will head out to face off against Hinckley-Big Rock at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
