Basketball Recap: Reseda Triumphs

While Reseda didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Animo Robinson Monarchs by a score of 61-49 on Saturday.

Animo Robinson's loss came despite strong showings from Deandre Kirkpatrick and Jason Pippert. Kirkpatrick dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 boards, while Pippert dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. Kirkpatrick's afternoon made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Reseda's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Animo Robinson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Reseda didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-56 defeat against Hart on the 4th. As for Animo Robinson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New Designs University Park at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. New Designs University Park will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Animo Robinson surely won't give up without a fight.
