Volleyball Recap: Fayth Hesselberg's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lodi over Belleville + How To Watch

Lodi was the 2-0 winner over Belleville when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Devils took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Saturday. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Lodi ultimately came up short, they really made Belleville work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-21.

Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Fayth Hesselberg, who had ten digs and two aces. Hesselberg is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Bell, who had five digs and three aces.

Lodi's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Belleville, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.

Lodi has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Catholic Central on the 4th. As for Belleville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Richland Center on the 4th.
