Volleyball Recap: Ripon Comes Up Short

Ripon lost against Southern Door last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tigers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1.

Ripon's offense was headlined by Kyah Peterson and Danielle Brewer, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Adele Minor and her 13 assists. Rayna Trochinski controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Alanna Paye was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 18 digs. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last six times she's played. Harper Kramer was another key player, getting 15 assists and three digs.

Ripon's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Southern Door, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-10 record.

Ripon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Clintonville on the 20th. As for Southern Door, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Valders on the 20th.
