Softball Recap: South Pasadena Comes Up Short

South Pasadena has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against the Monrovia Wildcats, falling 12-4. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

South Pasadena saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Kan, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Racquel Dominguez also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

South Pasadena's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Monrovia, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-10-1 record this season.

While South Pasadena had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
