Basketball Game Preview: Logan County Cougars vs. Fort Campbell Falcons

The Logan County Cougars will square off against the Fort Campbell Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Logan County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 contests -- so hopefully Fort Campbell likes a good challenge.

It was a proper cat-fight when Logan County challenged Franklin-Simpson on Friday. Logan County took a 69-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Franklin-Simpson.

Meanwhile, Fort Campbell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 63-51 to Fort Knox.

Logan County will have to keep a close watch on Israel Dillard and Tyrek Anthony, a pair of players who had a big impact on Fort Campbell's prior game. Dillard dropped a double-double with 27 points and 15 rebounds, while Anthony dropped a double-double with 20 points and 15 boards. That was a full 52.9% of Fort Campbell's points, marking the third time in a row Dillard has posted more than a third of the team's points.

Logan County's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 13-8. As for Fort Campbell, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-22.
